Flight routing: Hyderabad → Singapore with IndiGo, then Singapore → Chengdu with Scoot. The booked return is Xi’an → Singapore with Scoot, followed by Singapore → Hyderabad with IndiGo.

Our booked seven-day route

Day 1 · Chengdu arrival and Jinli Ancient Street

After arriving at Chengdu Tianfu Airport, the plan is to use the metro to reach the homestay, then walk through Jinli’s lantern-lined streets in the evening.

Day 2 · Chengdu Panda Base and People’s Park

We plan to reach the panda base early, then spend the afternoon walking through People’s Park and observing everyday local life.

Day 3 · Wide and Narrow Alleys

The third day stays deliberately light: Kuanzhai Xiangzi, nearby historic streets and preparation for the intercity journey.

Day 4 · High-speed train to Xi’an and Muslim Quarter

The planned second-class train connects Chengdu East with Xi’an North. After checking into the Xi’an homestay, the evening route continues through the Muslim Quarter.

Day 5 · Terracotta Army

We plan to reach the museum using public transport rather than a packaged tour and spend several hours across the main excavation halls.

Day 6 · Xi’an City Wall and musical fountain

The plan is to walk the historic wall from the South Gate and finish with the public fountain area near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Day 7 · Xi’an departure

After checking out, we will use public airport transport to reach Xi’an Xianyang International Airport for the booked return journey via Singapore.

Why this two-city route works

Chengdu and Xi’an create a compact Sichuan–Shaanxi loop without adding a domestic flight. A single high-speed train connects the two bases, while the itinerary balances wildlife, neighbourhood walks, archaeological history and the city wall.

Food plan

Commercially packed vegetarian food will be carried from Hyderabad. Coffee, fresh vegetables and fruit will be purchased locally, with a small part of the remaining allowance reserved for souvenirs. All food must comply with the entry rules in force at the time of travel; packaging and ingredients will be checked before departure and anything that must be declared will be declared.

Maps, translation and connectivity

We will save every flight, homestay and attraction address in Simplified Chinese before departure. AMap or Apple Maps will be used for local navigation, with an offline translation pack and screenshots as backups. The ₹1,560 connectivity allowance is provisional until the eSIM is purchased.

Visa and ticket checks before travel

The ₹6,100 visa amount and attraction prices are planning allowances, not confirmed payments. Before making non-refundable attraction or rail bookings, the current Chinese visa procedure for an Indian passport, entry requirements, official attraction prices, opening days and train schedules must be checked with the responsible official providers.
