Before submitting: identify the operating airline, keep the booking reference and boarding passes, record the final arrival time, ask for the written disruption reason, and photograph every itemised receipt.

UK and European airlines

Use the airline’s own form first. Compensation and expense reimbursement are often separate requests.

AirAsia directs refund requests through its Bo support assistant. Service-recovery and compensation rules depend on the operating AirAsia carrier and country.

Important
Confirm the operating carrier code and country rules before claiming.
Singapore

Escalation
Use the regulator or consumer route applicable to the affected flight’s jurisdiction.

If the airline rejects or ignores the claim

Ask for a written final response. For UK-related disputes, check the CAA’s current ADR information. For EU disputes, locate the relevant national enforcement body. Indian passengers should follow the airline’s grievance ladder before using AirSewa/DGCA. Other routes require the regulator or consumer body responsible for that journey.
